These plans make excellent giving opportunities to Project Mercy, Inc., which is not required to pay taxes and therefore benefits from the full value of the funds. Project Mercy, Inc. can be named the beneficiary for all or part of the proceeds, or it can be made owner of an existing policy the donor no longer needs. Stocks & Bonds
By donating stocks and mutual funds to Project Mercy, Inc., you avoid paying capital gains taxes on the appreciation. In addition, the donations full market value, if held for twelve months, is completely deductible.

Land
Your Real Estate donation is very important to Project Mercy, Inc.  Your gift of real estate donation to us can help us raise revenue.  Therefore providing food, medical supplies, educational supplies and facilities to needy people around the world.

Fulfillment comes when we help people who can not help themselves.  You can donate acreage, homes, or any other lots and parcels that are unwanted or unused by yourself.

Your Real Estate donation to Project Mercy, Inc. is as easy as a phone call to our office or filling out a simple online form.

Qualify for an IRS tax deduction.  Avoid all the headaches of selling a property by donating it to Project Mercy!

When you offer to donate property, with or without buildings or development, it is reviewed for current value as well as outstanding expenses such as taxes, fees, charges, liens, etc.

If we determine we cannot accept the property for any reason we will contact you immediately.  If for some reason ownership can not be transferred to Project Mercy, Inc. we will notify you and inform you that we are forced to decline to accept the donation.

Our communication with the County where the property is located may be slow at times, and we may not know the facts about the property for several weeks, or in some cases, several months. Your donation becomes official only after the title is legally transferred to Project Mercy, Inc. in accordance with your County's regualtions.

Vehicle Donation
Project Mercy, Inc. accepts cars, trucks, boats, RV's, and any other type of business or recreational vehicle.  According to IRS regulations you are eligible for an itemized tax deduction of Retail Fair Market Value of your vehicle.  In most cases, we will arrange for the vehicle to be picked at a place and time that we would agree upon.   From time to time we encounter a donation that is not worth the effort for us to have it shipped to us.  Therefore we would inform you of our decision to decline the donation.

Your vehicle donation can have a HUGE impact on the amount of supplies we can provide to the people who need it the most.   Project Mercy, Inc. can do much more with a newer vehicle that we can with a junker that is not worth much.

Guidelines
There are some key guidelines to remember when making a bequest.  Contact your attorney for advice about establishing or amending your will to include a donation Project Mercy, Inc. Insist on naming Project Mercy, Inc. as the recipient of the donation.  Include any special instructions to Project Mercy, Inc., regarding the use of your donations.  Indicate the dollar amount or the total percentage of your estate for your gift to Project Mercy, Inc. as well as naming any specific belongings or real estate to be distributed to Project Mercy, Inc.

One Last Thing
