PROJECT MERCY
Restore A Family Dwelling $1500
Building supplies like lumber, roofing, and bricks are very inexpensive in some regions. With your one time building donation we are able to double the size of a 600 square foot home and refresh the old structure with new wood. Please call for more info about making this special donation. In December 2001, Argentina suffered an economic collapse that left 50 percent of the total
.

population below the poverty line. Currently, one third of the population, that is 3,500,000 homes, lives in inadequate housing conditions. Overcrowded houses constitute 14.4 percent of the total. Slightly over 16 percent are living in damaged houses that must be completely replaced Half of the housing problems could be solved by refurbishing or finishing the houses. However, more than 30 percent needs a new house in order to live decently.
Project Mercy has been on the scene since 2000, providing home restoration/refurbishing that brings living standards back to norm. It only takes $1,500 US Dollars to restore a roof, walls, and floor for a 900 square foot home. The typical working class home can be purchased for approximately $4,000-$6,000.
The living conditions remain deplorable is we don't do something. Plumbing systems in ill-repair allow rodents and disease will run rampant. Roofs that remain with holes or cracks, allow the moisture to find its way inside the homes. Along with other seasonal problems, the winter's chill brings challenges to the people's respiratory systems. Providing home restoration creates a confirmation in the heart of the donor. The people, in turn are overwhelmed and realize someone halfway around the world has created something for them that would have taken years to save for.
Project Mercy needs your help today to restore the homes. We have a waiting list of families who must have outside assistance like Project Mercy provides. We can only provide it if you get involved. Click on Restore A Home or on the Donate Now buttons on this page to restore your first home.
